As the Safidy community health programme coordinator in Velondriake, Caroline is responsible for overseeing programme activities including sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, and water, sanitation and hygiene. Caroline started working with Blue Ventures in July 2012.
Caroline's experience includes three and a half years of community health work as a Peace Corps volunteer in both Madagascar and Namibia, during which time she worked to train community health workers, improve health education outreach and implement HIV prevention and behaviour change projects. Prior to this, Caroline worked at a legal aid organisation to improve access to health care for people living with HIV/AIDS in the US, and was a fundraiser and grant-writer for a non-governmental organisation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Caroline has a Masters degree in social work with a concentration in health, social and economic development.
