Rado is a  forest engineer & agronomist and graduated from ESSA (Ecole SupĂ©rieure des Sciences Agronomiques), University of Antananarivo in 2008. He is currently finalising his DEA which will focus on research in 'Forestry, Development and Environment', jointly with BV and ESSA, about the uses of mangroves in Maintirano (2011). Rado started working for Blue Ventures as the Socio-economic Coordinator in early 2012.

Before BV, he worked as a consultant based in Antananarivo and was involved in various activities to do with socio-economical surveys and data collection (such as the REDD FORECA project, Rural Observatories Network, For Arts Monash University about mimosa) around Madagascar.

"Environmental or conservation management does not just use knowledge about natural resources but also - and maybe more importantly, needs to include what we know about the social environment and economic context. When we include all the factors, there can be better management that benefits all involved."
