Adia specialises in natural resource monitoring and the use of spatial data to support environmental management. She joins the Blue Forests team with an interdisciplinary background in Anthropology and Environmental Management from Columbia University and the University of Oxford. In addition to conducting field research on deforestation in Tanzania and Nigeria, Adia has collaborated on community-based mapping projects and humanitarian relief missions in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cameroon, Liberia, Madagascar and Uganda.

In Ambanja, Adia will support the Blue Forests team in gathering and analyzing geospatial data on mangrove forest carbon stocks.
