Kate first developed an interest in BV during her BSc in Environmental Science at the University of York, and started working as a Science Intern in 2010. Since, she has completed an MSc in Marine Environmental Protection from Bangor University where she undertook her dissertation project with BV, investigating both biological and socioeconomic aspects of the small-scale fisheries operating in Morondava, western Madagascar.
Being based around Africa as a child sparked an interest in sustainable development at an early age, and Kate is now delighted to be part of an organisation truly dedicated to applying an integrated community-based approach to conservation
