Prior to joining the Blue Ventures team, Laura worked on the southeast coast of Madagascar for two years, developing Azafady's various community health projects. She worked on grant management as well as monitoring and evaluation for initiatives ranging from sexual, reproductive, maternal and child health to water, sanitation and hygiene. She has also supported the implementation of community health projects in Burkina Faso and Zambia.
With a first class Geography degree from Cambridge University, and three years of experience in the international development and public health sector, Laura is convinced about the importance of approaching health, livelihoods and conservation in a holistic and participatory way. She is therefore delighted to be coordinating the Safidy community health programme as part of Blue Ventures' integrated Population-Health-Environment (PHE) approach.
