Expedition & Finance Manager London, UK Kathleen joined Blue Ventures in September 2008 |
As well as supporting the project teams in the field with finance, budget and administation information and processes, Kathleen provides UK project management for the community aquaculture project and expedition programme.
Prior to working for Blue Ventures, Kathleen worked for a large London-based International Development NGO, and previously led a small team at a charitable trust in Edinburgh. Kathleen had an undergraduate degree in Plant Science from the University of Aberdeen, and a Post Graduate degree in Ecotourism from Napier University, Edinburgh.
Kathleen has a particular interest in sustainable models for funding development and community-led programmes which address local needs.
Earlier this year, Kathleen represented Blue Ventures at Symposium on UNESCO’s Year of Rapprochement of Cultures and International Year of Biodiversity at Centennial College, Culture & Heritage Institute, Toronto.
