Cyrus Ramahavelo

Association Support Officer
Belo sur Mer

Cyrus studied at the University of Toliara, recently gaining a Master’s degree in ‘Ecole Normale Supérieure’, a course to train high school teachers, which gave him experience in managing and training people.

While studying at university, he also worked in with Blue Ventures’ octopus fishery data collected in the Velondriake LMMA, occasionally also supporting the team on outreach activities in Velondriake.

He joined Blue Ventures in Belo sur Mer as Association Support Officer, to support our efforts in catalysing the empowerment of local communities, especially in regards to local governance.

“I’m glad to officially join BV as a full time staff member. It will be a great opportunity to help communities to improve their livelihoods. This job will be a chance for me to improve my skills in English, and I will also do my best to teach Malagasy to our expatriate staff. In short, I’m happy to be doing this job, and wish to become an important and successful member of the BV family.”
