Being originally from Sarteneja village, Darling developed a great interest for marine life from a very young age. Her father has been a traditional fisher since the age of fourteen and always inculcated the importance of marine life and conservation. She has been involved in volunteer activities with Blue Ventures and decided to join the team as an Office Assistant in 2017, before moving to a full time position as Community Conservation Leader, and now as Operations Officer.
Darling possesses an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Science from Corozal Junior College and even though her degree is science-related, she has acquired work experience in customer service and administration from her previous work sites. As part of her goals, she wants to be further involved in the activities carried out by Blue Ventures and be able to expand her knowledge on marine life and ecosystems. Not only that, but also be one with marine conservation.
