Fanny’s main interests are being on/in the sea, education and promoting sustainable living. Since graduating with a M.Sc. in Marine Resources Development and Protection, she has worked in environmental consultancy, as a teacher, dive instructor and on various conservation projects.

Fanny was very luck to start her dive career in the pristine waters of Indonesia, where she was also investigating small-scale fisheries. This was the springboard for her mission to find healthy benthic communities and ensure their protection.

Fanny’s work has taken her to some amazing places including conservation / ecotourism projects in Indonesia, Madagascar, the Seychelles and the Maldives; a community project in South Africa and many dive locations. She’s also a fan of the diving in her native Hong Kong and the cold water diving she’s experienced around Scotland and Jersey.

When not underwater, she can be found on the surface swimming or doing all kinds of other watersports, hiking, biking, playing team sports or with a good book.
