National Social Research Coordinator
Ambanja, Madagascar

Unofficially joining the BV team in February 2019, Hope worked as a Social Research Consultant based at the Mahajamba site. Hope worked with a team to run a community needs assessment and census survey in BV’s management villages.

Before starting at BV, Hope completed a masters in Conservation Science at Imperial College London. During which, she was working with Conservation International (CI) to research the adoption of Locally Managed Marine Areas in the North East of Madagascar, which is where she gained her love for Madagascar.

Leading up to her masters, Hope was able to develop her remote sensing and field work skills through the work she did with Zoological Society of London (ZSL), Big Life International (the antipoaching NGO in Kenya) and Wildlife Conservation Society (WSC).

Born and raised in East Africa, Hope loves the outdoors and is happiest when she is camping in the wilderness surrounded by wonderful wildlife. Additionally, Hope loves the sea and is an avid Kite surfer and scuba diver.
