Using an integrated systems approach to solving complex problems, James has spent 20 years setting up and leading pioneering environmental and social organisations ranging from ecotourism, renewable energy and urban regeneration to climate communications, impact investment and sustainable education.

James is an archaeologist interested in the evolving relationship between humans and nature. He holds a MSc in Holistic Science from Schumacher College and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
