Sian joined Blue Ventures in August 2017, working alongside Amy Wright our Expeditions and Volunteer Coordinator, she hopes to gain more experience in the travel and expeditions sector.

Sian graduated from the University of Sussex with a BSc in Ecology and Conservation in 2015 and then attended a postgraduate course in Media for Development and Social Change, which finished in 2016. Before starting university, Sian took some time out to travel. She spent 10 weeks in India with a project run in partnership with DFID, where she assisted with workshops and household surveys for a maternal and neo-natal health and nutrition programme. She also lived in Zanzibar, Tanzania, where she worked as a volunteer teacher for 8 months over a period of two years.

In the future, Sian hopes to be able to study for an MSc in a subject related to conservation biology, and work towards an overseas project management role with a conservation focus.
