Hery’s story with Blue Ventures (BV) started in 2011 when he interned and helped the aquaculture team. In 2012, his internship with BV as part of the Junior Reporter Club (JRC) ignited more his passion for conservation and education as his main task consisted in capturing photos and taking videos during the environmental education activities. His professional journey evolved and he has since become BV’s environmental education programme assistant, and BV scholars’ supervisor.
His love for the community and his six years’ experience with our community health programme makes him excel at motivating people in important causes such as good health practices. Now that he has joined the Association Support team for one year and a half, he has a feeling he made one of his biggest dreams come true because he loves what he does: connecting with the community. His job consists of coordinating communications between BV and the Manjaboake LMMA association. He is then responsible for listening to them, being their biggest support as they are the ones who know best how the association can impact their lives for real.
Hery treasures learning a lot and is very skilled at coordinating engaging events. His hope is to attend many trainings so that he can refine his community outreach skills and succeed more in raising awareness on marine conservations in his own land.
