Leo is originally from Tsihombe Androy.
He started working for BV in February 2015 as a socio organiser for the sustainable octopus fishery project.
In mid – 2016, Leo became a Community Liaison Officer for our sustainable fisheries programme in Teariake.
He is now Assistant Coordinator for both Manjaboake and Teariake.
This role ensures the connection of the programme with the stakeholders (committees, partners, technical services, authorities, NGOs and local communities) including by providing technical support and training to both associations and promoting gender equality by empowering women to get involved in the the sustainable management of their marine resources.
