We are delighted to see our National Technical Advisor for Governance, Zo Andriamahenina, featured on the cover of the Kinship Conservation Fellowship magazine. Read more about Zo’s incredible progress in developing a sustainable business model for local marine management in Madagascar on page 31.
Our Asia Pacific Fisheries Lead, Indah Rufiati, inspires us on page 36 with the history of her career and her dedication to working with small-scale fishing communities. We learn about her current focus assisting small-scale fishing communities to secure their marine tenure rights, as a foundation for locally-led management and conservation, at more than 70 sites across Indonesia. This work includes revitalizing traditional fisheries management practices and working with the government to safeguard these customary institutions.
Zo and Indah are Kinship Conservation fellows which is a programme for professionals focusing on market-based solutions to address complex conservation problems. Blue Ventures is proud that colleagues are part of such a valuable network where friendships can be forged with other passionate people working on diverse environmental issues.
