The inaugural Africa Climate Summit, held in Nairobi, represented a pivotal moment in the ongoing global efforts to combat climate change. The Nairobi declaration focused on loss and damage funds and new global carbon taxes to fund climate change action which African delegates will use as their common position at COP 28 and beyond.
