We are thrilled to partner with the newly launched Only One media platform to tell stories inspired by our community-led marine conservation work around the coastal tropics.
The Only One platform was founded in 2019 by SeaLegacy, and went live this summer using the power of media to share solutions and inspire action to protect the world’s oceans. The platform uses world class filmmaking and imagery to bring positive action to life through the lens of celebrated photographers, including Cristina Mittermeier, Andy Mann and others.
Through the platform’s Roots of Hope series, Only One shines a light on our support for the world’s largest community-led mangrove carbon conservation project in southwest Madagascar, Tahiry Honko. In this short post, our colleague Lalao Aigrette, the National Technical Advisor Mangroves in Madagascar, explains how she is working with communities to unlock grassroots conservation action to preserve and restore mangrove forests, a natural climate solution.
